Ready, Set, Go
Last weekend we started the painting process. Let me rephrase that, I started the painting process. Jim was busy removing and putting in sinks (not to be discounted). I did the trim on the ENTIRE first floor and learned that no amount of yoga could prevent soreness the next day. Any who...here are a few more pre-painting pics of the first floor.
This is the front room/kitchen area that we decided to move to maximize living space.
Here is another angle peering into the kitchen. Lovely.

The Adventure Begins
Tah dah....this is our new crib if you haven't seen it yet! Jim and I purchased it back in February and have been nonstop since then. There is alot of work in front of us, so be sure to stay tuned to see our progress.
Based on this top picture, you may be thinking it's not bad. I will admit, the exterior wasn't what scared the bejesus out of me. In fact, with a little landscaping TLC and curb appeal, my eye's glimmered with hope until.....the grand tour! Below is a preview:
This is the bathroom layout for all 3 floors. Nice! As you can see, not much in the way of room unless you are Gumby.
Here we have the top floor kitchen. It comes with nonmatching cabinets, a nice mustard yellow counter top and superb vinyl flooring layered over 6 other vinyl floorings. Each floor has its own unique story which I am happy share over the course of the next several months.
Needless to say. I was horrified. This place is a DUMP! But with some persuasion and Jim's know-how, I was convinced that this was a project we could tackle together.
So far, all of the electrical has been rectified and most of the plumbing is complete. We've gutted two of the bathrooms, changed a kitchen counter top and replaced a sink.
I will hit y'all up with pictures later. For now, it's time to hit the sheets! zzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
